Hi Guys, I'm wondering what is the best media player for Leopard? I dislike quicktime and want something similar to SMPlayer. Thanks in advance

I personally use nice player and perian for codec support. Nice player is essentially just a (very pretty) skin for quicktime.
As a backup I also have vlc installed, which is also very good, but I just prefer the look of nice player better.

for hd movies plex is the best. ive tried every media player on osx and plex plays all my hd mkv movies with out a problem. i use vlc or smp for standard def stuff tho. on the other hand if you have xp installed try kmplayer,it plays so smooth and the cpu usage is around 23% playn 720p stuff, which is way better than plex which is around double that.

I use quicktime for anything standard def. Anything in HD, Plex is way better. Quicktime couldn't play a 1080p trailer, but plex plays it fine. So yea.

VLC is out there if you wan to use it, its pretty good.

VLC will play almost anything. It's played any kind of avi I've thrown at it, but most of them were DivX encoded.
