Razor makes excellent mice, logitech makse a few other good ones as well

Depending what you are doing I REALLY like the new trackpad they have. Thought I would hate it till I tried one.

The Magic Mouse is not ergonomic, but it does look awesome and it's all glass and has the multi-touch technology. You can scroll with your finger and swipe through photos, etc.
Takes a bit to get used to, but if you are into aesthetics, there is nothing else that looks better/matches the mbp. -
The Magic Mouse looks awesome in it's little crystalline display case. And that is where I keep mine, most of the time. I keep giving it another chance to impress me, and it doesn't. It's awfully sad, because it performs the functions of a mouse pretty darn good, except the acceleration is way off and you can't adjust it fast enough without a third party add-on, and yes, the ergonomics are absolutely the worst of any mouse I have ever used. Other than than the usability, it's a masterpiece.
Steve Jobs must have an alien hand geometry for this thing to get as far as it did past R&D. Within 2 minutes of using the scrolling, the back of your hands are cramping up into a claw-like shape. Geez, even the guys at Microsoft are smart enough to know that there is a minimum height that is needed if you are going to use a large surface area on the device for scrolling. -
I wouldn't get a magic mouse unless you don't care about comfort and use your computer as a display case. Or you could get a magic mouse and a normal mouse and just use the magic mouse to show people how awesome your desk looks.
I use my computer for 5 hours straight though sometimes. -

i just need a good BT mouse to use with my macbook pro
-
bump bump

any mouse should work fine.. it all depends what you want to use... go get a 2 button Microsoft mouse if you want... just find what works good for you. Me... can't beat the trackpad... need to get a Magic Trackpad now so I can use it easier when using my MBP at my desk with a monitor.

It's not Bluetooth but my favorite mouse to use with my MacBook Pro is the Microsoft Arc Mouse. It's wonderfully small for portability but opens up into a fullsize mouse.
I actually use the Magic Trackpad now and like it better than mice in general. At the moment, in front of my laptop, are the bluetooth keyboard, trackpad and mouse. I use the mouse for cut operations but the trackpad for just about everything else. -
Any reason you want bluetooh only? The Logitech MX Performance is a very nice wireless mouse.
-
its on the macbook pro mate, the best touchpad on earth, makes other laptop touchpads look like a lil bit**

the razer orochi ( Razer | For Gamers. By Gamers.? | Online Store - Razer Orochi? Bluetooth Notebook Gaming Mouse, personally speaking.
-
That being said, I would avoid using BT anytime I can, just decreases battery life unnecessarily. -
Like some others said before, the trackpad on the MBP is the best 'mouse' there is to use with your laptop.
The old Wireless Mighty Mouse from Apple might be a nice alternative to the Magic Mouse. I tried the Magic Mouse for a few minutes at an Apple reseller an immediately gave up on it... -
Not very comfortable to use for long periods of time. -
so did you find best bluetooth mouse for MBP ? MBP has only 2 USB port so bluetooth mouse must be first choice
-
I usually just have my USB mouse and occasionally pop in a USB drive when I need to move stuff in or out.
That being said, I find that I prefer to store stuff on SD cards more often. Thinking of investing in a 16 or 32 GB one to keep all my Photoshop documents. -
Logitech $7 mouse @ Wal-Mart

My current setup is Apple Bluetooth KB with Magic Trackpad next to it and a Magic Mouse to the right. I use the trackpad for most mouse operations. The mouse is useful for cut/paste text and resizing a window. I can do these operations with tap and drag but the mouse seems better for those two particular operations.
-
Best is all personal preference.
-
I use a Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000.. Works like a charm and is just about the right size (note: my hand measures about 10" from tip of little finger to tip of thumb when stretched)
-
ClearSkies Well no, I'm still here..

I don't see what all the fuss is about with the Magic mouse not being "ergonomic"... I agree that "best" is subjective, but I haven't come across another mouse yet that "just works" with Mac OS X like the Magic mouse.
i had serveral Microsoft mice, a previous Mighty Mouse, and some "dongle/transceiver" mice before it, and none of them fit as well in my bag, or offered "port-free" connectivity (in regard to the transceiver mice).
You've only got 2 USB ports, you don't need to waste one. Some of us use Mobile Broadband cards and thumb drives or other peripherals and need the "port real estate".
Thats the point of Bluetooth. Mice, Keyboards, Audio Devices. They can all connect wirelessly with a minimal battery/power consumption. if you're that worried about power, use the built-in touchpad.
Also those who are using the Magic Mouse should also know that you don't hold it like a traditional mouse, and that may be why some of you are having comfort issues. Its not a "full hand" mouse. Its meant to be guided by your fingers, not your palm. This is a new approach, but affords a great deal of thin, smooth portability.
Also, there are some concerns with durability. In fact, my Magic Mouse has a TON of scratches on it, and I bought it the week or two after they came out. The glass is actually some kind of polymer/plexiglass, and scratches pretty easily. The bottom and rails seem to be more durable. I solved this with a $15 protector for the Magic Mouse from Moshi (moshimonde.com). It's called the MouseGuard I think.
Like I said, subjective indeed, but Apple's got a great product on their hands (IMHO) that does look great, but is quite functional as well. Just give it a chance and try to use it differently and it might be a fit. -

These are the mouse I use and I love them:
Logitech Anywhere Mouse MX ($50 was on sale a long ago)
What is Darkfield?
Logitech G5 ($60 on sale long ago, discontinued)
I think now it's the G500 or the G700 -
Right now I'm looking at the Microsoft Mouse 5000($25) or the Logitech V470($27). Any thoughts? If I get one, I'll let you know how good it is with my Macbook.
-
Logitech G700 looks awesome!
-
My daughter used the 5000 for a few years and then it died. I had used it before and she appropriated it. It's nice and compact and gets the job done. If you have fairly large hands, you might want something bigger. My favorite Microsoft Mouse for notebooks is the Microsoft ArcMouse. Unfortunately they don't make it in Bluetooth.

saturnotaku Notebook Nobel Laureate
Logitech MX518 with Steermouse software.

Yeah Logitech G700 looks like a Lamborghini
-
I actually like the Magic Mouse.
I might have small hands, even though I'm a pianist, but I don't think it's uncomfortable at all.
And the scrolling is even better than on the trackpads. It's amazing. After you get used to it, you won't want to scroll with a different mouse, ever. -
-
Sure you can't get by just using the trackpad? I ditched the mouse a while ago and only use the trackpad.
Magic mouse is too heavy and doesn't right click well, IMO. -
masterchef341 The guy from The Notebook
magic mouse is easily the worst mouse i have ever used, ever. i love most apple stuff, though.
-
I will not use Trackpad if I have to do design/3d modeling works.
-
Have you checked out this one? I've done a review here of the Elecom scope node mouse, I did love it. Here're some pics:
