    Hi all,
This is a bit off topic, but tell me what do you think is the best format or software for email advertisements.
Let us say that you send an email with a picture or video that opens up automatically (NOT AS AN ATTACHMENT)

If someone... even a company I buy tons of stuff from.. sent me an email that a picture or video is forced on me to open up automatically... I'd be sooo p!$$#% off I'd definitely be calling them to complain and insist they never did that again before i found a new vendor... if it was a little vendor or someone I got stuff from periodically, I'd probably just reply to them they lost a customer for being total jerks and start buying that stuff elsewhere.

HTML.. All CSS will need to be done inline

Set it up as a table, Most e-mail clients will display html automatically Contrary to what the article posted above says. You'll need to host your images on a server.

    also,

There are CSS work-arounds that will need to be done to ensure the images in the table don't have spaces or borders around them in gmail and other clients. But i'll let you figure that out.

    As far as software goes,

Strong mail is very popular among e-comm business for newsletter distribution.

@Everyone in this thread... He's just asking how to make a web mailer, not force your computer to randomly open up images or anything like that.

HTML and CSS is the only real way to go to make a web mailer. You should contact a local graphic design firm if you're looking to have a web mailer produced for you or your company.

that's not possible. don't worry. the mail standard for email is html (or plaintext). It's up to the client to choose how to render html content.
