I haven't been following laptops for the past year and am helping my cousin find a new Macbook for as cheap as possible. What websites are reliable for finding a used Macbook? I want to stay away from Craigslist and Ebay, thank you very much.

I've bought and sold at least 30 Macbooks on eBay, that's the first place I'd look.

A lot of people are scared of eBay, but they just aren't aware of eBay's policies. You can return anything you buy on eBay if it is "not as described".

    Try your bet with cowboom.com,

They have a 30 day no question return policy so if you dont like what you got you can always return it. They also pay for return shipping.

I bought my 6 months old 13inch core i5 from a private person some weeks ago. With apple care running for 6 months, I've got almost no risk. The retail price is 1149 Euro in Germany, I paid 800. A fair deal, in my opinion.

Two months before, I got an iPhone 4 the same way for 400 euros (629 euros retail price).

eBay has gotten too expensive. They still sell the Core2Duo for 900 euros.

Thanks for the replies, I would have no problem dealing with ebay but I'd rather avoid them doing it. The micro center one looks great and I found a pretty similar one on cowboom too, I'll tell you which one she goes with.
