I'm new to Mac's, (LOVE my MBA by the way), I'm wondering what's the best way to hook it up to my HP w2408h Monitor.
The monitor has Digital (HDMI with HDCP) and Analog (15-pin D-sub VGA) inputs. What adapter would I need to get from Apple to get the best possible picture.
Also, I have a 37" Panasonic Vierra TV, it also has HDMI input but my MBA doesn't, the TV does have a VGA port, is there a way I can connect to my TV with one cable a get both video and sound.
Thanks.

get the mini-DVI adapter from Apple, and then a DVI-HDMI cable to connect to the TV.
-
is it rev. b mba with mini DP?
-
If it's a rev. a then you'll need the Mini-DVI > DVI for the monitor, and then a DVI > HDMI for the TV.
If it's a rev. b, then you'll need the Mini-DisplayPort > DVI, then a DVI > HDMI Like Whizzo said.

I have another question about hooking up to an external monitor.
What about this one? http://www.onlinecomputer.com.au/product_info.php?products_id=1971
Does DVI or VGA output at the native res at the monitor? Or does it offer a different max res?
What would be the best adapter for using the previously mentioned monitor?
EDIT: would this work? http://store.apple.com/us/product/MB570?mco=MTkzODk0NQ (would it output at WSXGA+?) -
yeas, mini DP will output @ any res. with those adapters! BTW,have you you seen apple's 24" LED screens?
-
I have and they look mighty pretty! Shame about the price over here ($1400).

you can buy one from US and take it with you...
also, what do you think about iMacs?
Best way to hook up my MacBook Air to this monitor ...
