Just like TVs, the thing should be dark around the screen not silver. A black anodized MPB would do it for me. But, will they ever make it?
-
Uhhhhhhh, no.
-
What do you mean "uhhh, no"
I think it's fairly likely they'll start anodizing aluminum for black and silver at least. -
stealthsniper96 What Was I Thinkin'?
Check on sites like colorware.com. They can paint it for you but it won't be cheap.

Personally, I think a colored MBP would look ugly as hell. Apple don't do it! -
How old are you?
Anyway, I expect a black aluminum MBP someday...just probably not yet. -
Hold on a second, let me ask the Magic 8-Ball...
Crap!!! Well then, I would go with what Sam said!
-
A black would look much better and professional.

I would loove a Black MBP. I mean, one of the reasons I chose the Blackbook in the end is because I like black over aluminum.
heh heh.
-
Come with the black MBP already, apple!!
-
Lot's of....Uggh.--No's, but why is a black MPB such an off the wall, anti-Apple idea. Apple has made many black notebooks and still does with the MB. They just haven't anodized them in black. I bet the black gen 5 iPods outsold the white ones. I think the black MBP would outsell the silver. People like black over silver and the screen looks better with a black bezel.
Way more expensive and they use paint, which would only make it heavier, not to mention in-exchangeable. Either Apple offers the MBP in black or I won't buy one. -
dont get me wrong a black MBP would be ace, i love my SILVER MBP!!! but should black be available i would have bought a black one.
how old are you? let me give you a little insight into life my friend. apple is a huge business making more money than you can imagine, they dont give a sh*t if you dont buy their product because its silver not black. your one in how many millions of people who buy macs? little hint......they dont need your business -
I'm 37. I know that Apple isn't making their products solely for me. I'm just expressing myself.
You make my point though. If given a choice, you yourself would have bought a black anodized MBP.
I suppose the reason that they don't make it that way is cost, but I'd pay a little extra for it. Heck! They could make a profit on it like they do everything else they make. Apple always has a way to squeeze that last bit of dough out of it's customers pockets. -
It doesn't cost anything extra for them to produce the black MBPs. There shouldn't be a premium to pay for the black. It's not like they're better. Same laptop with a different color.
-
Apple does NOT make a black Macbook Pro.
-
I never said that. I suggested that if they were to make one they shouldn't cost more.
-
They shouldn't cost more but if they make a Black MBP expect it to be $400-$500 more.
-
I wouldn't expect so. I'd say maybe $200 more, but that's about it.
-
Absolutely not...it will never be made in your lifetime.
-Mike -
Come to think of it, they actually may make the MBP black.. after all they have a black version of the macbook, why not a black MBP? But then again the MBA is aluminum and there has been talk about an aluminum(silver) MacBook as a possibility in the future... so I don't know. I would say, not until the MBP is totally revised at the very least.
-
id like to see a carbon fibre macbook pro, seeing as you pay a load of cash id like to think that sometime soon for a little more cash you could get PROPER carbon fibre on the outside....dunno about the scratches tho
-
I think they will come out with a Black Anodized MBP when Steve Jobs runs out of ideas, and uses the "lets come out with a black version" scheme after years of whining and lobbying by Apple fans.
-
Well, with that said, they have a white MacBook too, why not white MBP?
I actually wouldn't mind either. White or black anodized aluminum MBPs
.
-
Either way, I think that even if they will make one and ask more for it people would still buy it, not because of Steve Jobs, just because it's black and it's more appropriate for a business use.
Black Anodized MBP in my lifetime?
