Hmmm...doesn't seem to be too significant on an update...better graphics drivers though...time to update the sticky.
-
probably an update for the new imac.
-
Eh, what version of the drivers? I'm not going to rollback to an older version just for the heck of it?
-
Actually, I think it's because they found out I ordered a MBP and wanted to have Boot Camp all updated and ready for me.
...or maybe it WAS for the new iMac and the various other updates Apple did yesterday. -
Awesome. I'm downloading it right now.
-
funny how they updated windows gpu driver and not osx gpu driver.
-
OK, just finished the update and I'm still showing ForceWare 101.34 in Windows XP Pro.
Maybe the Updated Graphics Drivers refers to support for the GPUs in the new iMacs. -
Does anyone know if tap clicking on the track pad is now supported? That would be the only reason why I upgrade.
-
Tap-clicking is still not supported, at least not in XP Pro.
-
Tap clicking isn't working still.
One thing to note...if you've manually updated your NVIDIA drivers...uninstall them first!
It was too much to hope that Apple would detect them ..blah

thats not funny at all....
funny is anything that happens at 1 am.
back to earth:
you have to understand that the driver is basically software that connects hardware to operating system. osx isn't going to get a new driver just because boot camp does. -
You mean the laptopvideo2go.com ones, right?
-
Well the gpu driver for 8600 on osx outrageously oudated also.
-
I didn't see any change in my GFX drivers under Windows XP Pro... Errr..
-
masterchef341 The guy from The Notebook
they didn't release a new 8600m gt gpu for xp, and the os x one was just updated a week or two ago.
-
So is there anything that got better for the MBP and WinXP? I am lazy to go find a blank cd...
-
you don't need bootcamp to update drivers...
for example, MBP have realtek HD audio...just go to their website and download the latest driver, the one from bootcamp is like 4 months old.
For graphics driver, go to http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/
you can also download intel chip updates, vista auto update the wireless drivers... -
what about the ambient light sensors, the touchpad, the webcam, bluetooth, the power management, keyboard, etc. etc. etc.?
Some of the hardware are simply generic, with drivers that you can find anywhere. Others are very Apple-specific however, and it's not likely that they'll just release updates to those for the mass market. -
yeah, probably not until leopard, and HOPEFULLY leopard will fully support it.
