For anyone lucky enough to try one of the pre-release versions of Snow Leopard, do you know if it has any updates to Boot Camp? What's the latest version of Boot Camp right now thats available to the general masses?
Apologies if this was already asked...
-
If I remember correctly, installing Boot Camp drivers in Windows showed version 3.
-
yes boocamp version 3 which doesnt even include the much awaited gpu switching software..
-
But does it include drivers which make the touchpad actually usable in the new MBPs?
-
i would prefer a better battery life. How i wish i had bought a thinkpad instead. Apple's drivers for windows are absolutely horrible. we needed the 9400m in windows.
-
v10.6 boot camp now offers HSF+ read-only support for HSF+ volumes. So basically while using boot camp you can open the Mac hard disk while in windows read contents and copy files to your windows partition.
-
I am sorry, but why do you use windows while mobile?
-
I program in windows at uni.
-
no mac os alternative?
-
Unfortunately there aren't always Mac alternatives. MS Money is a prime example. Absolutely NOTHING comes close to it's functionality and that means I need to keep Windows installed.
-
everyone has a different opinion of what is good or bad in functionality...
personally i like iBank or even MoneyDance better than MS Money. -
I've tried iBank and used it for a couple months to give it an honest chance. Between missing transactions during imports, continually having to manually balance iBank compared to my actual account and the overall feeling of disarray, I gave up on it and went back to MS Money.
I've also tried Quicken (HA! What a joke!) as well as Cha-Ching (again, very poor in comparison). I haven't heard of MoneyDance however and will give it a Google......but I'm not holding out much hope. :S
