Hi, I am trying to upgrade from from bootcap 1.2 to 1.4 and when I insert a cd or dvd it doesn't show up in the window to install the bootcampsoftware.
(it does show up on the desktop.) I am running a macbook pro.
    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

Bootcamp does not require a CD or DVD to upgrade. I assume you are referring to the new drivers provided with Bootcamp 1.4? If so, you have to boot into Windows and run it. Either allow Autorun to detect the CD or go to My Computer and locate the CD. If not, you can use "Run" in Windows XP and type in the CD-ROM drive location.

Have you tried using a new CD to burn the drivers onto? If not, try buying a new batch of CD's or reinstalling BootCamp 1.4.

I'm not sure why you cannot burn a Mac Windows Drivers Disc. All you need to do is go to Applications --> Utilities --> Boot Camp Assistant, select Burn a Mac Windows Drivers Disc, click Continue, insert a Blank CD, and click Burn. That should work. Then you would restart your computer into Windows by either holding Option during the Restart or go to System Preferences --> Startup Disk, select Windows, and click Restart. Once in Windows, the CD should Autorun the Installer.

You actually don't need to burn the Mac Windows Drivers onto a CD. You can use a USB Flash Drive or iPod. Do you have one of those? If so, just go to Applications --> Utilities --> Boot Camp Assistant, then select Utility (from the menu bar), and click Save Mac Windows Drivers to Folder. Once the application is finished saving the folder, just copy it to your USB device, restart into Windows as described above, copy to folder to the desktop in Windows and run setup.exe.
