I was deciding between the new MBA 13 inch or a 15 inch MBP, to replace my late 2008 unibody MBP.

After lots of thinking and assessing of my needs, I decided on the MBA 13.

It basically came down to the fact that I got sick and tired of carrying around a 15 inch computer to do simple tasks. The MBA offers lightweight, comparable if not better performance than my old MBP, and with the same screen resolution.

And - $800 cheaper. Whether or not I'll be able to adjust to the smaller screen we will have to wait and see...but I think I'll be ok.

I also bought a 64 gb Ipod touch to carry my whole music library to play in my car for the 3-4 hours I spend driving everyday for work.

As long as you don't need super CPU or GPU performance, that seems like the best decision. have fun with it :)

Nice purchase. I loved my 13inch macbook air but I needed a bit kore performance so I sold it and ended up picking up a Macbook Pro. I do miss the incredible boot time of the air though.

After spending a week using mine, I have to say that its one of the best little machines I've ever owned. I usually flip machines pretty fast, because I get bored with them, but I see this one staying in the stable for a good long while

I was deciding between a 15mbp with ssd and upgraded screen(hate glossy screens) and the 13 mba...yesterday made the drive to the apple store and bought the air. The pro was going to be too spendy with the upgrades and there are rumors of an upgrade soon, so the air made a little more sense. I'm a professional photographer so was worried about doing light photoshop and lightroom editing on the air, but so far I'm very impressed with its speed. I realize the screen could be better, but for light editing I think it will be fine. So far I'm very impressed by it and happy with the purchase.

Got my mbp... come from a 17 inch asus g73 monster... I gave up my i7 cpu and ati 5870 for a c2d and nvidia 320m but I would do it again in a heart beat.

I got my MBA and have been using it extensively for the last couple days. In short, I absolutely love it. Yes, it is overpriced (for this kind of money I could have gotten the Dell XPS 15 fully loaded), but for what it is I think it's worth it.

As I expected, it can handle all my needs very well and I'm glad I got this over an iPad. This is so much better than an iPad, no question.

I did notice, though that the screen isn't as vivid as my 15" MBP screen. I suspect this is because of the lack of a real glossy coating. But this doesn't bother me.

If this laptop represents the future of laptops I think we're heading in the right direction.
