Anyone knows how to fix this? Even after adjusting the brightness settings, a second or two later it jumps back up to maximum brightness. Even adjusting it manually through the Boot Camp menu results in the same thing.

I had this problem. What drivers are you using for your display? I had to go back to 163.71 to fix it. I also found 163.71 to be excellent drivers compared to the default Apple drivers. My guess is you're using something even newer than that which would explain the issue.

This happened to me as well - I can't remember when it started, but I haven't seen it happening lately, either (didn't change drivers in between). I'd try out different nVidia drivers though, to check it out. Also, maybe reinstall the Boot Camp drivers?

Hmm...strangely enough it's working as it should now. Haven't touched anything at all except perhaps my power settings. I'm using 169.04 drivers by the way.

And it's back again, damit. I can't use Windows in school cause it drains my battery like mad. Gonna try downgrading to 163.71 drivers...

the nvidia control panel is taking over and overriding your setting.

open the nvidia control panel and find set it to not mess with your power settings / brightness settings. its in there somewhere.

also recommend update to the most recent whql drivers. 174.74 i think.
