hey guys, for the last 6 month I been waiting to buy a macbook pro 15 inch which I will use for university in 3 month, I did not buy the macbook any earlier because I was waiting for apple to update the macbook pro since I knew it should be sometime soon
Now since they have updated the laptops, I am thinking of finally buying a macbook pro, my only concern is that if I buy it now(in order to get used to it - i am windows guy) apple will add other small updates on the macbook pro or the ssd will drop in price, do you guys think apple will make anymore changes in price or in upgrades to the macbook pro from now till the end of august, or should i buy it as soon as possible?
thanks a lot for any opinions.

I'm in the exact same position. College starts August 24th and I have been waiting for Apple to update so i could get the newest and best techonology avaliable.

Good luck. -
Since Snow Leopard comes out in September there may be some changes then. Otherwise you should be good for a while. There will always be something better just around the bend.
-
You should be good until the fall.
SL isn't going to bring any hardware changes with it arrives, or few if any.
Fall is going to be the next refresh, just in time for Christmas and the like. -

Should be good for at least till the end of the year. Right now is also the $100-$200 off and free ipods for students so its even a better deal. And if you don't own a mac yet the time period will give you a chance to get comfortable with os x.

The only other changes are that Snow Leopard will start to ship with the notebooks when it's ready. The machines will still have the same hardware when they're shipped with SL.

Ugh... not looking forward to when Snow comes out.

Late 2009/Early 2010
Arrandale is released. Which is a mobile version of Core i7. Dual core with 4 threads. Its going to be substantially more powerful than current laptops. But this is about a year from now. -
it's just been refreshed, so not refresh in 2 months.
Buying a macbook pro now or 2 month from now? any changes?
