Well, I decided to sell it.
    Here's why:
I personally gained nothing from OSX, other than the fact I could run Logic. I am more comfortable in the overall with windows, maybe because I grew up with it, and can do anything and everything with it.
Also, (as i type on it right now) I almost feel as if it was (for me) like my Wii. A white plastic gimmicky electronic that was "fun" but never really had the substance i was looking for.
That being said, build quality and ease of use are top notch. I defiantly would recommend apple to a friend - if they diddn't need loads of power or were on a budget.

None the less it was good to own for the short period, and now i can add it to my list of laptop manufactures i have owned: (list below) (note, this was taken out of a PM to some one of my experiance of build quality in ranking of highest to lowest)
    Apple
    HP Business
    Compal
    Sager
    IBM
    MSI
    Gateway
    Asus
    Dell
    HP Home
    Acer

EDIT: one more thing i forgot about. Apple's phone support is also top notch, better than most manufactures.

Totally understand this. I like Windows 7 quite a bit (and Vista even, and XP before that); been using Snow Leopard since right around its release. I've found that the whole substance catch gets better the more you use it; at least for me, OSX is capable of what I need it to do.

meh.. I want an apple macbook.. just for school (due to film class projects using iMovie, iWeb and other programs, which majority of the students don't have a mac at home for work, making majority of us having to use the school shared computer and we save stuff on that computer while others can access it and mess with it :(.. ).. overall I still prefer Windows.

Whatever makes you happy OP. I never get why people create worthless threads telling a Mac forum that they are dumping their Mac in favor of Windows. Completely ridiculous. Did you expect to get applause or the did you expect the Mac forum to beg you to stay? Enjoy your Windows 7, Snow Leopard has more features and better quality software to make my work more productive

I'm sorry, did you even read my post?
I'm not trying to fight with any one, infact i praised Apple in part of my post. I was merley stating a personal opinion on a product.
Some one had a bad day?

I sort of feel like the original poster on this one. I've had a mac for about 2 years now, and idk, the operating system didn't stick with me (that and the flipping machine is slowly bricking itself to hell). But I will add this, Mac Leopard and Snow Leopard are better then any other OS by windows except W7. W7 simply rocks.

i take the best of both worlds, i game on my PC and i work on my mac, seriously if my laptop could game i couldnt get any work done. i like both snow leopard and windows 7 really a great time to be both, i just need my mac for iweb, rapidweaver and ipod app development (which i havent been working on lol) and macs definitely start up and shut down faster.

@ OP i know how you feel, im pretty bored with windows 7 because theres nothing to really do to tweak it, haha so learning a mac is great for me.
and i agree ACER sucks lol

I have the same experience with you aan310. I found that windows give me a better productivity rather than OS X. However, owning both system is a nice experience.
Sony VAIO Z is definitely a nice machine, if cash is not a problem, I really prefer VAIO Z over Macbook because: sharp screen (higher res), more portable and it's running on WIN :). I am typing on this my Vaio Z (ignore my sig please)

haha, the Vaio Z is ridiculously amazing.

But, if apple came out with a MBP 13 that had the same 1080p resolution and decent graphics that'd just be insanely nice for apple-ers

Yeah I'm very impressed with sony in packing such great hardware into such a small form factor... apple needs to step it up next refresh
