I have MBP, bought it mid August i think so its 9 months old or something. Battery is down to 86% after 158 cycles, get around 2 and half hours of battery in normal browsing it seems. I have applecare as well. Will they just give me new one?
-
You can ask, but I believe they only replace it if the health gets below 80% under 300 cycles. And the battery has to be less than a year old.
-
Yeah, you can try...its not really to a defective level yet though. Have you calibrated recently?
-
Is there a place to buy a new battery? Mine is new so I'm not worrying about it now but maybe for in the future, or for long plane rides 2 batteries would be nice. Also, how do you calibrate the battery?
-
Search "calibrate battery" in Apple Support.

Right... there are 3rd parties that sell Apple batteries, but I've heard that they do not hold as much charge. The total mAh is lower than Apples official batteries, but they are a bit cheaper.
I recommend buying them from Apple.
Can I get a New Battery?
