    Can you run Appletv out of a Thinkpad x61?

    Sorry, total rookie here, if that is a dumb question. If so, what hardware do I need (aside from the HDTV)? Will a wireless broadband card and the appletv device do the trick?

    Well you have to connect your apple tv to a high def tv set. If your thinkpad has iTunes, as well as a wifi, then you're set.

    I thought you were trying to use the Thinkpad as an Apple TV :p.

    Anyways, yeah, you can use your Thinkpad with an Apple TV. You will be using iTunes for syncing. And of course, you'll need a HDTV and your Thinkpad needs WiFi, but that's pretty standard.
