It will get a little bit hot, the great thing about Macbooks is you could maybe put a dinner mat or something underneath as the vent for the fans is located at the back so it wouldn't cover it up. Also you can download a fan control program:

    http://www.eidac.de/?p=134

The default is 2000 RPM, which I keep it while its on my desk but if I was to put it on my lap I would put it up to 3500 to keep it cooler.

i see. yes, i thought it was very unique design to see vent located on back/not underneath to vent out hot air..

regarding fan control program, it is for OSX right? (not for windows)

    anyway, thank you so much..

I find that macbooks get hotter than other notebooks, but then again, macbooks are about the quietest notebooks I've ever owned.

I suggest you get a temp monitor and fan controls. I usually set mine at 3000rpm as default. Then adjust it accordingly so that it doesn't go over 80C.

depends on your other notebooks...for me, it is cooler then m4400 and 8530,but hotter then HP HDX 18t.
