I have a 15" MacBook Pro that I bought about over a year ago and now I can't turn it on when I unhook my AC charger. It does turn on when it is hooked to the AC charger but turns off when I unhook the AC charger, why? I've checked the battery to see if it is any good by pushing the test button and I have all green lights lit on. Has anybody experienced this problem, if so what did you do to remedy it? What should I do? Thanks in advance!

    well that sucks....
ahmm.. the first thing you could do to identify the area of where the issue is ... switch the computer on with the power chord hooked to the system. If you have coconut battery/ the istat widget, run it and check your battery stats. If valid battery stats are visible, then try and see whether the machine remains on once you take off the power chord. If the machine switches off then and there, then it might be a loose connection between battery slot and the machine. If istat/ coconut don't show very dismal readings for your battery, I guess you know where your problem lies. Off the bat, I can't think of anything else as a diagnostic. Try taking it to an Apple store incase there's one near the place you stay.

I had that problem with my MBP a short while back. It was out of warranty, and I was prepared to pay the $129 (USD) to a new battery when I took it to the guru's at the Apple Store. They saw the problem, replaced the battery, and did not charge me for the new one. +1000 Rep points for the Apple guru that helped me out. :p
