    Good day,

Situation; I'm the first owner of a new MBA 2011 which has Lion and iLife 11 pre-installed. I did a restore and iLife was not reinstalled. So I logged in with my apple id in the mac app store and tried to install it from there. Luckily it was able to detect my hardware and did not charge me for the download.

Now the situation is; another person with his own apple id bought this laptop. He did a restore. Now when he tries to use his apple id to download iPhoto 11; it says it cannot because it is assigned to another apple id.

    ----
So I believe I just have to somehow release it from my account? I've already contacted apple support about this but I just wanted to try if someone has encountered a similar situation and could share how he solved it.

    thanks.
