I need to buy two cases:
one for a macbook
one for a macbook pro.
the macbook case is for my mom, so it should be targeted towards girls if possible; feminine case. the look and fashion statement of the case is more important than protective ability - it will be treated safely even inside of the case.
the macbook pro case should be functional to put my laptop in to carry around college my college campus.
edit: also possibly interested in "sleeves" or other protective casings that aren't necessarily considered "cases".

stealthsniper96 What Was I Thinkin'?
check out this place. there are really SO many cases available from so many places thats its kina turning into a game of luck just finding the right one.
-
I'm also looking for a bag for my soon to arrive Macbook Pro. Anyone know a good place for a leather messenger bag that would hold my MBP and a few other things like notebooks, pens, and pencils for school?
-
For the MBP, I would highly recommend looking at Tom Bihn ( www.tombihn.com). They have an excellent case called the Brain Cell (available in both horizontal and vertical orientations), which is designed to "clip" into a variety of other bags they sell (messenger style, backpacks, etc.).
Their stuff is a bit on the pricey side, but the protection is incredible, and the overall quality is second to none.
A few others to look at that specialize in MB and MBP cases are:

http://www.sfbags.com
For more affordable cases, Incase and Brenthaven are worth looking at.

i found one tailor made for the macbook. thank you for the tip.
still hunting for the macbook pro- i don't know exactly what style i want.
also- i might not have made it clear. i want one tailor made for the 15" macbook pro; not just a general laptop bag. -
Honestly, between tombihn.com, sfbags.com and booqbags.com, I think you'll find something that might strike your fancy.
A few others to look at would be:
Brenthaven
Crumpler

Marware
http://www.axio-usa.com/
Finally, here's a guide with links to all companies that make specific MacBook and MacBook Pro cases:

thank you zadillo.

No problem.
And actually, yeah, take a look at marware.com's stuff; I hadn't looked at what they were making in a while, but it seems like they have some new cases that look pretty cool, and I've read they do a good job of protection. -
What do you guys think of that Sportfolio Deluxe by Marware?
Anyone have one?
If so, can you fit a mouse in there? (along with the usual extras like the power cord, an iPod, etc.) -
I would recommend the Brenthaven fusion messenger bag. http://www.brenthaven.com Its reasonably priced, offers protection designed for the MBP, stylish, and has a lifetime warranty.
-
Actually, the Brenthaven Prolite II looks like it might work nicely.
-
Never seen one in person, but I can say I've been very impressed with the quality of Marware products I have purchased (their macbook protection kit thing, and various iPod cases).
That inside picture view makes it seem like you probably could stick a mouse in there, even though there might not specifically be a pocket for one. -
-
Yeah, I think you'd be in pretty good shape with either one. If one doesn't work out, you could always return it and get the other.
