I just recently bought a Macbook, and it came with 30-day trials of Iwork 08 and Mac Office 2004. Now, I will definately be needing Mac Office after the 30 days, but is there a site where I can get it for cheap. It seems really expensive at some places. Or is there already a work document program that comes with a Mac that I don't know about?

Just use OpenOffice.org. You can't get cheaper than free, and it's an awesome Office Suite.

Neo Office is the Mac version of OO. It's decent, and more importantly, free.
I'd give it a whirl and see what you think before shelling out the bucks for MS. If you are a student, odds are your campus bookstore sells it at a discount. -
@Vespoli:
OpenOffice also has a Mac version, so either one should work. -
just spent 80 on iWork - it's worth it.

I have iWork and NeoOffice. Neooffice just destroyed my file when i tried to open it in excel.
iWork is flawless (and cheap for me).
I will try openoffice now. FYI Neooffice is great i just tried to save it as an xlsx (07) file. -
Thain1982, yes there is also OpenOffice.org for Mac, but it has to run under X11, which consumes more system resources than running NeoOffice would. So I would recommend NeoOffice over OpenOffice for Mac.
I can find Microsoft Office for Mac 2004 Student Edition for $129 on Newegg. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16837116168.
However, once again, if you can wait a few months until January 2008, Microsoft Office for Mac 2008 will be released then. -
If you're going to boot Windows on your MacBook you can get Office 2007 Ultimate for US$59.95. Works with both XP and Vista.
