I have a client who wants to use a mac to connect to our network.

Has anyone used the Cisco VPN client (v5) under Windows 7 bootcamp?

    TIA

I'm using the Cisco VPN x64 5.0.7 in windows 7 64 running in bootcamp on my Mac.

Works exactly the same as it does on my DELL m6500 running windows 7 64 bit.

*they've got a version that works under OS X too. I've not tried it yet.

I see great, thanks for that information.

    What about Cisco Anyconnect?

    Hi,

Sorry, I've not used Anyconnect. But I don't see why it wouldn't work assuming you have a Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance running 8.0 or later

I've used AnyConnect on Mac OS X and Windows 7 and Windows XP. I haven't used it on Windows 7 on the Mac but I wouldn't expect any problems. I might have used AnyConnect on Windows 7 on the iMac a few months ago - it's not my machine but I do use it from time to time.

since Bootcamp is just a tool used to dual boot... why wouldn't it work?

When you boot a Mac directly into Windows, it is just a Windows PC.

Hardware incompatibility perhaps. The VPN clients needs to create a virtual network adapter to tunnel through.

    Good to know it works.
