Sorry for the silly thread; but I'd appreciate if someone could post a close-up pic. of the new MB keyboard.

    Thank you.

    Brilliant! Thank you.

On the other hand, I can't say that I like the new function keys; and I guess there's no longer an Apple key on the MB either.

I like the addition of the iTunes controls, but being a MacBook user, it will take some time to get used to the way the keys are ordered, especially with Expose and Dashboard on the left side now.

trust me, the new layout is much much better, it makes a lot more sense to have those 4 shortcut keys on the left side as that is usually the hand people will be using as the hand on the keyboard, some people may understand that.

and the new itunes controls are such a time saver.

I have been using the new Apple keyboard with this layout for some time now and I really wish my MBP keyboard followed the same layout.

..and there has never been an "Apple" key, it has always been the "Command" key, it just doesn't have a apple picture on it anymore ^_^

How about the closed/open Apple keys on the Apple // series? :)

The thing is I constantly use Expose and Dashboard, and I don't want to always accidentally adjust brightness :p.

And yeah, with the move to get rid of the Apple picture on the Command key, I think Apple's trying to get people used to calling it Command instead of alternating between Apple and Command.

I guess it's pretty much a certainty that this keyboard layout will end up on the next MBPs whenever they appear?

I have a wireless keyboard with the new layout and then my MBP has the old layout and it's a bit of a pain trying to remember which keyboard I am on....
