Iam using the widget "istat" and its saying (in fahrenheit) that my computer temperatures like the heatsinks, cpu, airport card, are all running at the low to mid 100's. I cant see this being right and if it is there has to be something wrong because that is very high.. Any ideas? Thanks.

In fahrenheit, that's pretty normal. I wouldn't worry about it.

The_Observer 9262 is the best:)
It's about 37 degrees.

Yeah, those temps don't seem bad to me.
I wouldn't worry if I were you.

100F? I would call that goddly cool. My GPU runs at 100 celcius
-
Your body idles at 98 degrees and is made of flesh. Your computer is made of a slightly more durable material and can easily stand up to those temps. Come back when you hit 200.

If you are that concerned with temps, you can get smc fan control to run your fans a bit faster than normal.

stealthsniper96 What Was I Thinkin'?
100 f? Dang thats good. I'm at 130+ for most of my temps.
-
100 F is about 37 C, which is actually very cool for computer components! Modern computer parts such as the processor are designed to withstand beyond 100 C without any damage, and work fine under constant temperatures of 40-70 C. So nothing to worry about
. In fact, your computer is quite cool, not ungodly high

I was really surprised. I know the specs change with every processor, but last I knew the max safe core temp was around 80C.
Guess I was wrong.
It's really interesting to see a temp threshold of 100C for the mobile processors, but less than 73C for the desktop ones.
EDIT: But then again, for the desktop processors, it's measured as Tc (case temperature), vs. die temp for the mobile ones, so I don't know. -
this might seem like a silly question but what is the lowest healthy temp for a comp? by that i mean what is the lowest temp i could put my fan at?

As long as water's not forming on any parts, you can make the system as cold as you want. This is more a desktop thing, but check out some of the folks on the NVIDIA message boards who run phase-change cooling setups. Their CPU temps are well below zero.
For the record, I've run stuff on my MBP that's gotten the CPU up into the 80s Celsius, and it's kept right on trucking. Unless you're in the 100s on a regular basis, don't sweat it (no pun intended). -
And remember not to get confused between those that report in deg C and those that report in deg F.

omg 37c thats cold! what are you worrying about!?
Computer temps ungodly high?
