So I finished reading the sticky on top of the page.............and I am still a bit confused.
Now I am not the most technical guy so please bear with me![]()
I will only be using Windows XP to process digital files using Photoshop....so my #1 choise is Bootcamp as I want to take full advantage of my CPU/RAM - and its FREE!!!
Now my biggest concern is that I want to be able to share my jpeg and RAW files between the two platforms (MAC and PC). So the first thing I should do is make my PC partition a FAT?? ok........... So I have 120 gig of space.....and I think I will do 60 for mac and 60 for pc. Now, to be able to share files between the two, I need to download Macdrive.
Now here is my question:
1. Do I install Macdrive on the PC or on the MAC??
2. When do I partition the HSF?? drive?? (not sure if that makes sense).
3. When I'm in the MAC OS, how do I access the files from my PC??
Any answers will be surely appreciated.
THANKS!!!

MacDrive is a PC program that allows for Windows to recognize the Mac formatted file partitions, so you would install it on the PC. I believe that OS X should be able to read and write to the FAT32 portion of the hard drive (the PC portion should basically just show up as another hard drive on your Mac desktop).
Technically speaking, you don't necessarily need MacDrive, unless you want to have the freedom to share both ways. You could probably get by though by just formatting the PC hard drive as FAT32, and then using OS X to read and write to the PC partition.

yeah, fat/fat32 is read/write-able by all three oses,(linux, OS X, Win) so i would just make the windows partition fat 32. then there will be little sharing trouble.
the partitioning will happen when you run boot camp. -
COOL!!! I think you just saved me 49 USD!!!
