Hey Guys - i just bought a 37" LCD Vizio TV and im trying to connect my MacBook to it (so i can download a movie off netflix and play it straight to my TV) -- what kind of wires do i need? Is a MacBook DVI or MiniDVI ? Very confused as to what exactly i need to buy in order to connect my MacBook to my Vizio LCD. Thanks

Well, I'm assuming you're connecting by DVI...get a Mini-DVI to DVI wire. If you're not sure, go to the Apple Store and ask the employees there.

awesome thanks Sam - always a good help

does the tv have a dvi port on it? otherwise youll need one of these.

And you'll need a separate cable if you want the audio to play through your TV too.

Exactly what cable do I need for sound? I think I can use a miniDVI to VGA connector for video, but I'm having trouble finding a cable for stereo sound. Are there combo cables that would have them all bundled together (like RCA cables do) or do I have to buy totally separate cables? -
Your TV should have a 3.5mm audio jack next to the VGA port, so a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable would be fine. Otherwise, you will need a 3.5mm to 2 phono male audio cable.
