The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

Cooling solution for the next MBP (maybe unlikely)

    Hi!
I just stumbled across this one:

    http://www.thorrn.com/technology.html
    http://www.thorrn.com/performance.html

Sounds promising. Wouldn't that meet Apples "most advanced technology"-self-conception and put them way ahead of the competition? Yeah, I know, they actually already are there.. :D

Edit: I'd happily see this thread deleted, btw. I understand that you (we) don't want every forum being cluttered with off topic stuff. Sorry again for my ignorance.

Sorry for my arrogance, I just did a quick check on this (Apple and Mac OS X) particular forum and didn't find it mentioned lately. I thought it would fit nicely in here. Maybe it's even somewhere here in this forum and I'm not just arrogant but also a lazy, phlegmatic, bandwidth and online space wasting slow coach. To my excuse, it was a hard day so far; had to fix a XP box for someone, it had more than 70 reported (!) viruses and needed a rather extensive/radical therapy. So bear with me.

Thanks, I already thought you might first tar and feather, then ban me. Nice to see this is not the case (well, for now..). ;)

Heh, nah, we play pretty nice around here. Unless your breaking BST rules, or Spamming, then bans don't happen that often. Besides...i'm nowhere near the power of banning anybody, so your safe with me :p
