    Copying files

    So I'm in the middle of copying a couple hundred GB over to another HDD via finder and apparently it's going to take about 2 hours (from USB external to Firewire 800 external), which leads me to consider:

    1. Why isn't there some sort of indicator for the speed of the transfer in Finder's copy window?

    2. There's gotta be a faster way to transfer files without having to preserve the original file system structure.

    it does tell you the number of files and time remaining.

    eh, showing the actual transfer speed in Mbps or something would be nice.
