Hey guys,
I'm waiting out for the Core2Duo (Merom) Macbook Pro and from what I hear, It'll be announced in August. I was wondering if based on previous annoucements/releases of new products from Apple, will the Macbook Pro be released around the same date as when it was announced or will there be a one - two month wait?

Don't expect to see any Merom notebooks this August. Intel's most possibly going to annouce Merom that month, but don't expect notebooks equipped with the new CPU to be released 1-2 months from then. Heck, with ASUS releasing their Core Duo V1J laptop this coming August, I wouldn't be surprised if Merom notebooks would be pushed back until December. Just a wild guess, don't count me on it.

Also, keep in mind that the updated chipset and socket won't be released until a while after the processor. It might be worth waiting for the FSB increase alone (800MHz vs 667MHz).

when is the FSB increase going to happen

It should be out for the holiday season -
According to the link I provided it won't be until "Q207".
