Does anyone else have this problem? I think I might have tightened the 4 screws on the back too tightly, but I don't have a set of screw drivers until I go home tomorrow.

When I had my MacBook the screen hinge didn't creek, so yeah, shouldn't be normal.

Mine's 3 months old and just started creaking. I haven't touched any screws. Maybe I should. :)

You tightened the screws? Does that mean you opened it up? That's a big no-no for the warranty.

Anyway, creaking hinges doesn't sound right - take it to your local authorized service provider or an Apple Store if you have one near and have them look at it. And if you've opened it up, don't mention it.

if there is more resistance than normal then you probably did overtighten the screws.

Nah, I didn't open it. I only tightened the screws on the edge of the laptop. It doesn't creak very badly when I open and close the lid. It only creaks once in a while when I have the Macbook on my lap and I make small movements with my leg. Maybe I'm just a perfectionist and paranoid. :D
