While we're at it, let's target the National Bank for making money so damn useful.

i know where that article comes from. I had my iPod video stolen last year. Man, that thing cost me $400!!! (plus the case and shure headphones!)
-
That article made me feel dumber for reading it. I suppose it's also a good thing I don't have the Apple earbuds anymore (too uncomfortable for me) and went to some nice ugly third party headphones.
That does remind me though... I have to fill out my paperwork to get my CCW. -
Why is it Apples responsibility to prevent theft? Shouldn't that be a gov't issue? If you're going to buy a hip new product that can be easily used or sold by another person without any questions, then you need to be a bit more careful.
It's like blaming a sub woofer for letting people know you have a system in your car. You bought it knowing it's purpose and if you flaunt it in front of people there may be repercussions. -
The police are much too busy beating down activists and protestors to worry about public safety.
-
Yes, its totally Apple's fault. They don't have enough Apple Police around the world...and their intelligence agency? Its terrible. They don't even bother tracking down these iPod-theft gangs. Apple just doesn't put enough funding into their policing and intelligence services. Why, I barely ever see those Apple police cars around here...they're usually parked at Starbucks and the Apple officers are busy buying songs with the iTunes WiFi Music Store. Terrible, terrible policing.
Anyhow, I do know that the white earbuds give it away that you have something expensive (an iPod). I mean, personally I notice I will give a second look at someone with white earbuds on the bus, while I don't to someone without white earbuds. I personally don't like attracting attention, so I switched to black Creative EP-630s, which sound great, by the way.
But yeah, that can be said about anything. Its not the iPod's fault that there's an increase in crime, its the government's responsibility. -
Wow... I'm sure Apple is to blame for a bunch of gang members killing that girls mother. Yeah... lets sue Apple for making that happen.
Kids around where I grew up have been murdered because they had a Starter jacked (when they were first getitng popular). If someone, or several people, is threatening you with excessive violence because they want a material posession of yours... give it to them. A hospital stay, or your life, is not worth a $300 trinket.
Otherwise, this is one of those cases where people don't understand and don't know how to read statistics. This person will probably go work for Fox News.
