Hey everyone!
I'm working on a new theme for my mac, nothing too groundbreaking, but I think this one in particular caught my eye:

The only problem is, the program that is used for the quote of the day, Magnifique, is not compatible with Snow Leopard. Can anyone suggest an alternative?
Thanks!

cute theme.
Sorry I can't help you with an alternative for Snow Leopard.
I'm still waiting to get mine or steal a MBP

That looks more like a Desktop Background to me. Theme?

It is a desktop background for the most part. I'm not messing with the finer points of the interface, I just want to know how to get a dynamic message onto the board in the picture.

Beats me, looks to me you'll need to write an Application that can replace the OS X desktop with dynamic content via ZenDesign RSS feed. I've seen something similarly done for Windows Platform but it'll be quite a feat especially if you're not a OS X software developer.

Use geektool to get quotes, weather, time, etc... on your desktop.

Just search for geektool scripts, and look around there is one for quote of the day.
Here is my desktop with geektool.

Yep, Seshan. I looked a bit harder and found that's what they're using too. Thanks a lot! It's working great now!
