    Hi all

I'm using MAC os 10.6.1 and my MBP region is Russian(Ukraine)
I want to set my default language in applications (to type - not menu language)
as English. How to do it? For some reason all application start and change my Input Source to Russian every time.

All language options for the system can be found under system preferences>Language and text icon (top middle row).
Here just drag english to the top of the list as your preferred language. This will set english as the default for everything. Unfortunately, its not possible to have Russian as your menu language, and then have all programs run in english by default. The only way to do this is to try and set each program individually as English which may or may not work that well. For eg, I always have problems with Word 2008, getting confused with which language to work in when I get documents from French colleagues.
Best advice is to pick the language that you use the most and have that as your default.
