I deleted bootcamp awhile ago, atleast I'm pretty sure I did. Everytime i restart my computer on my desktop still appears the windows partion disk icon and it still says 10gb free, thats how much space i gave it when i partioned them. Does this icon mean I didn't delete completely off? What can I do to get rid of this icon so it doesn't appear everytime i restart!? Thanks

reinstall bootcamp and use the bootcamp utility to delete the partition.

I'd try it again. If it still doesn't work then use a program called partition magic. It works wonders.

The GParted LiveCD just runs off the CD and no installation is needed. So unless the new Macs don't support booting from a CD, then it should all be fine. And even better, unlike Partition Magic (and possibly iPartition), no installation to the hard drive is necessary.

Yeah, but can it deal with EFi/BIOS emulation issues? That's the real problem with partitions in a Mac, specially if you plan to boot from one of them. Since this guy probably doesn't want to reinstall OSX, I'd check that first before using any third part utility.

Would you be so kind as to share so others who may have the problem know the fix?
