We all know the price of getting the latest and the greatest. This is especially true for mbp. Did Apple ever revise mbp price when there is a price drop in CPU, graphic card, memory etc months after launch?

No, Apple doesn't drop prices in the MacBook Pro (or the MacBook, for that matter). But Apple also doesn't raise the prices after an upgrade (such as the latest revision, added Santa Rosa, an LED-backlit display on the 15.4-inch, and a more powerful NVIDIA GeForce 8600GT, but the price remained the same as the previous version).

No, they dropped the education price of the MacBook to $999 during the last update so that they could have one laptop under 1k again (the G4 iBook was there previously, prices jumped to $1050 in the switch to intel).

Other than that, yea, the 15" PowerBook/MacBook Pro has stayed at the same 1999 price point for the last 3 years at least.
