    One comes preformatted with hfs, and the other will probably come with ntfs.

    Thats the way that the "mac" drives usually come.

    I see no reason why you want get the cheaper one, and reformat it to hfs is thats what you want.

    Indeed - you pay for the factory to pre-format it for you, and with WD drives you get the pretty silver color that coordinates.

    In your case, you're also paying $20 for the Firewire connections in addition to USB2, which I guess gives you a reason to use that jack that we new MB owners don't have :). However, NewEgg is using the exact same photos for the two drives so one can't see the FW jacks on the Mac one :eek:.
