71% battery health after 74 cycles. Ouch.

I don't think I can find the original receipt, but this MBP is only 5 months old. Am I gimped and would I be forced to pay for a new battery if I go to the Apple Store?

Your serial number should be registered with them. go to www.apple.com/support , and on the bottom right column it should say "my warranty and service options." put your serial number and country it was purchased there and it should say all your warranty info. If it's all there it *shouldn't* be a problem if you take it to an Apple Store.

I'm in the same boat you're in, not having the original receipt with me, but I don't think it'll be a problem. I asked about it in another thread and got a reply that said they didn't even ask for the receipt during a repair.

just for reference, its POSSIBLE that your computer is incorrectly reporting your battery health. Make sure to do a full charge discharge cycle before checking the battery health. If its still in the 70% range you should then try and exchange it.
