Just wondering if a docking station exists for mac? I'd like to be able to dock my mbp when at home and use it on my 22" and 46" screen without having to plug everything into the unit directly?

Thanks, I searched the apple area here, and found nothing on docking stations, or dock for mbp.
    Thanks,

the closest thing you're going to find is an expresscard docking station (check out the belkin and targus ones)

Apple does not have support for, or have themselves released, a real docking station, which is quite a shame. The closest thing to a docking station you will find are those docking-station-like devices pointed out above.

Hopefully Apple is planning on releasing a docking station, because it is one of the factor handicapping their entrance into the business market.

I was about to ask the same thing as OP.

I have a good but old(er) LCD monitor at home and thought I'd use my MBP as a desktop hooked up to it but wasn't sure how to go about it.

I guess without a docking station, one would need to connect the DVI, keyboard/mouse, speakers, power and Ethernet cable directly to the MBP. It's messy to say the least.

How does that connect to the MBP?

I want a real dock. Slide my MBP into it and thats it... No need to plugin power, DVI, or any other external devices...

    One day!

USB. I've looked and the only thing i've ever seen are those expensive, hideous bookends....I have to plug in 1 usb, 1 power, and 1 video when i sit my notebook down....not bad all things considered.
