If i open a file does it cache that file into a temporary folder?
If i visit the internet does it cache the files from the webpage i visit?
Does it store where i visit?
If so are they programs free for Mac to counter this big brother stuff?
Thanks in advance !!
-
no, Vista behaves like Mac OS
-
that was the stupidest responce ive ever seen to be honist..
Straight up:
Yes, it does create temporary files the same as a windows PC, and there are programs to remove these temp files e.t.c but i cant think of the name at the moment
probably not that much use but hope that helped. -
-
Thanks for the info but i probably need a free one as i dont believe in buying software.
-
btw i am so used to Windows Uninstall how in the heck do i uninstall with Mac OS lol ?????
Sorry i am a noob to Mac. -
Try google...
-
the one from apple ( http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/system_disk_utilities/leopardcachecleaner.html) is free for a bit isn't it? (to remove a program i would just drag the icon for it from 'applications' to 'recycle bin')
-
Drag it to the trash.
-
Drag whatever you need into the trash can.
-
oh just like that? just drag it ? doesn't have to uninstall it? umm that's pretty easy then thanks.
-
Onyx should clean everything you wanted to
Appcleaner to do clean uninstall of applications -
^ but after a while it asks for "5$ donation"
-
Just use the pr0n mode in Safari to leave no trace
-
lol it has a mode? classic. slowly but surely google will acquire both microsoft and mac, and we will end up with applesosft, or macsoft, miapplesoftosh, etc.
-
haha, that's awesome!
-
another excellent thread.
-
But yet, you bought OS X.
-
+1
starting to see the trend return it looks like. -

-

Just hope your wife doesnt find this thread though. -
The only thing where I wish OS X would behave like windows, is the ability to "cut and paste" files.
-
would be funny if it weren't true.
