Hey I was wondering if someone could tell how many ram slots the user has access to, because I wanted to put in 4 gb ram, but I think theres only one slot at the bottom. Can someone please tell me thank you.

This is from Apple's iMac Tech Specs page:

Yep. Even the older iMac that I have has 2 slots at the bottom, although I think now its marginally easier to add more RAM (one screw instead of two).

I'm waiting for the Leopard OS, and hopefully, they might update their iMacs with an HD 2900 XT maybe?
I doubt it though, if they don't i'm not going to get the desktop, despite how slim and nice looking it is. -
once Leopard is out I will get the new iMac anyone got any unboxing pictures of it

Here's Engadget's unboxing photos:

Google? What's that?

Is it just me, or does anyone else hate the option of the glossy only screen??

I love glossy, makes the colors so vibrant!
-
Yah, Apple should've allowed an option of matte as well...especially for those that sit right behind a large window in the office...reflections everywhere!
But I'm with SaferSephiroth, I personally like glossy more as well. But choice doesn't hurt. -
It's sad, but I really feel like people would seriously say that very statement. At least, they act like they've never heard of it or how to use it.

Minion: It seems like our share of the business desktop market has increased from 0.1% to 0.2% over the past year.
Steve: Uh oh... we've done everything we can to stop this... we've locked the OS to our hardware, severely restricted the hardware options, and made all of our desktops all-in-ones (except for that ridiculously expensive one)... what else can we do?
Minion: We could make our all-in-one desktops... glossy only! All the reflections from office lighting would render the machine completely useless in an office environment.
Steve: Excellent! And let's get rid of the 17-inch one too... that way we can make the minimum price a bit higher. -
The base price stayed the same. And that really expensive desktop is a workstation, not a desktop.
Anyway, the new iMacs are really nice, although I am not crazy about the new keyboard. Surprisingly, I actually did not mind the Mighty Mouse as much as I thought I would. The scrolling on it is really good. -
I tried out the keyboard at Best Buy, and I was actually quite surprised, it was really comfortable to type on. Maybe it has to do with me already being used to typing with a MacBook keyboard, but I thought the keyboard was really nice.

The base price didn't stay the same. Before the recent update there was a $999 17-inch iMac. Now the cheapest one is a 20-inch for $1199.

A workstation is basically a powerful desktop.
Does anyone here have the new imac's?
