Greetings,
I'm curious if the programs are identical, or if there is still a difference between the products? Ideally I'd like to have Office running in OSX, however if I have to I will run it in a VM. Mind you I'd like to avoid the headache of opening a VM to check my mail...
Thank you.

Word, Excel, Powerpoint are very different from a menu/user interface perspective. Files are largely interchangeable but not with macro's and there are some other minor glitches. Switching back and forth can be fairly frustrating. Functionality is similar (again except for macros).
Outlook and Entourage are very different in every way and Entourage is a sad shadow of Outlook. I have not played with any "Outlook" for MAC. -
I agree Entourage ain't in the same camp with Outlook. On the plus side, Outlook will return to osx with the 2010 release.

Does anyone here use MS Office 2008 w/ Outlook who has used the Windows version?
