Hey guys.
As you guys may know, I rarely have cash to spend. There's been a lot on my list of things I want to get...2 GB of RAM, Leopard, a new iPod...
Well, I just found this today: http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2217057&CatId=1726
Its 1024MB PC5400 DDR2 667MHz SODIMM RAM from OCZ. For $27 CDN, that's among the cheapest I've seen for Canadian stores. That's only $54 for 2 GB!
So I'm just double checking with you guys that this RAM is the right type of RAM for my Core 2 Duo MacBook. I think it is, but I'm just checking again so I don't get the wrong type of RAM.
Thanks in advance, guys.

You're right. The RAM is compatible with your MacBook. However the price you quoted is after the Mail-in-Rebate which says, "Limit one (1) rebate per person, address, company, or household."

Well, on that website someone mentions installing it into their 1.83GHz MacBook. However, that's PC5400 memory, whereas the standard is PC5300. So there's always the chance it may not work in your laptop.
I believe I installed PC5400 in my friends MacBook a few months ago, he had the Napa platform with the Intel Core 2 Duo T7200. Be careful installing the memory, as it's very difficult. Luckily I didn't break the levers on my neighbors MacBook, but I could imagine it'd be very easy to do if you're not careful. Also, make sure their docked correctly, otherwise you could short it out. -
There is virtually no difference between PC2-5300 and PC2-5400 RAM. Supposedly the PC2-5400 RAM is tested at a higher clock speed (675MHz).
Double Checking...
