Is there anyway to to put DVD's, of movies I own on I-Touch?

Yeah. You can use Handbrake. It works pretty well.

Are most DVD's sold by retail stores encrypted, and will that prevent Handbrake from working. Not trying to break any laws, just want to watch movies I already own on my I-touch.
-
How about Mediafork then?
I know it's based on Handbrake, but still, you might get lucky.. -
Just wanted to say that the name is iPod touch not "iTouch" or "I-Touch". Just iPod touch
-
Yeah, I would use HandBrake, its the big one for Mac OS X. Make sure you own the movies!
-
VisualHub also works great, but you first have to rip the DVD to your computer.
-
Thanks.
And sorry SauronMOS, I'm just an old guy with a toy. -
If you have movies in other formats already ripped, I recommend using Super to convert them for i-touch use. It's a windows program though, but it's worked pretty well for me.
-
And you should note that some movie companies are beginning to include a digital copy on the DVD:

Handbrake added the movie to my desktop, I dragged into my itunes library, but it didn'y sync, said my ipod could not play this video. Any thoughts?
-
Use the iPhone/iPod Touch Preset.
-
Got it, works great. Thank you

Lysander, if you would like, make that same comment to Chaz, directly. He won't see it here, it seems directed to me, and I have explained many times already. If you want to see a difference, bring it up, or please don't complain on the forums.
