It's a good news that EVGA bring one of their top graphic card to Apple user.

I thought that the same card for PC would be compatible with the MacPro mobo.
So that EVGA will only to have to develop a driver so that it will works with OS X. right?

Lol
Anyway its cool that this is coming to the Mac Pro, Hopefully this reflects what apple might put in the imac next mabe a 280m or somthing. -
Nope. The EVGA card will have different firmware - as do all other 'for Mac' video cards, while still being able to work in Boot Camp (probably, and that's if you don't mind the relatively incompatible EFI-BIOS emulation of a Boot Camp environment of course). I'm sure some enterprising guy will develop a flash hack, but it's not guaranteed.
It's pretty shocking to see a card from actually this year come out for Macs. I do hope it's a trend - it's kind of depressing to buy a new Crap Pro and find it comes with a card I abandoned upwards of a year ago.
My guess though with the GTX285 is that ATI still has the upper hand in writing higher-performing OS X drivers than NVidia and that there will not be gigantic differences with the 4870 in 'Mac Mode' - so it's probably more for people who've blown all their money on a Pro and can't afford a separate - and more stable - gaming PC. -
Hey, I'm still on the 9400M, so I don't want to hear it.

Just to let you know, and as other users have pointed out, the title says "m bp".
