I just bought a 13" MBP today, but i noticed that it has a whining cpu noise. It sounds like electrical static and is coming from the top left corner. I did some research and was found out that it could be caused from a bad logic board. Will they let me exchange this machine for another one? I'm afraid they will say nothing is wrong with it. Thanks in advance.

Yes, if you can replicate the problem at the Genius Bar, you shouldn't have a problem. I would make sure they give you a new MBP and not a refurbished.

I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic or serious since I'm not sure if you saw one of my previous threads :p. Unfortunately, no, but I might reapply with updated availability. I've been to the Genius Bar for all three iPhones, so I have a good amount of experience. The "geniuses" are usually pretty laid back, and they don't seem like they try to avoid exchanges. From my experience, and from what I've seen, they seem to know what they're doing. Fortunately, I haven't had any problems with my MacBook Pro.

yes I saw your thread on working with Apple.
I agree that genius guys have a good amount of knowledge (for their product) rather than best buy guys.
