The higher end config Macbook Pros are some of the systems I'm looking at right now. Wish the GPU was better, but mostly I need Blu Ray.

Theoretically it shoudln't be an issue-just plug in a drive and go...but I've been through THREE external drives or enclosures with problems...they just seem super flaky.

I know you have to reboot to Windows with Blu Ray, but anyway I'm just wondering if there's any external drives/enclosures that actually work.

OWC external Blu Ray drives work. Make sure to use trial versions of the major software movie players though to make sure they work with the drive. (e.g. Powerdvd works fine with them, TMT5 doesn't for some reason).

Thanks! Ugh, I've been through Lite On and two other brands with no success...they'll work briefly and then just stop working...like the 'puter can't even 'see' them anymore :-/
