Does anyone know of an external hard drive that would compliment a Macbook Pro?

EDIT: Preferably a 3.5" external drive that is available in a 400GB+ capacity.

    Have a look here...

I also have a Lacie (my 2nd one) and never had any problems at all. The above mentioned one also looks stylish, I even think there's a Apple picture among those pics... happy shopping!

If by compliment you mean it should have a similar look, that narrows things down yes. I don't have an external hard drive that matches, but I do have an enclosure with a similar look to it - an Akasa Integral 3.5" IDE one.

If you just need an external hard drive in general, I don't know a single one that wouldn't work as long as it uses normal USB2 or Firewire connections. I can recommend Western Digitals MyBook series, they're cheap and reliable in my experience.

I have the Fantom 500gb and works fine...has a SATA drive, i opened mine up and it is a seagate drive....wish it had firewire, though i think they make a combo unit that costs a bit more...looks better in person than in the pictures...if your willing to pay a bit more the G-Techs and LaCies are nicer looking... you may also want to check out OWC...they have a nice selection..

Yeah, I was mainly looking for a visual match. I'm not entirely sure if I'm even going to need the storage at this point though. I might go the cheap route and use my existing 60gb external drive.

These guys have a lot of stuff. Kinda expensive, but you may find one that is aesthetically pleasing to you.
