Is there anyway to make it so that my F1-12 keys will can be bound to things in games? I tried binding them but they only perform the function that they are set to for the comp... IE making the screen less or more bright and adjusting volume, etc...

AutoHotKey is great for this purpose (and more powerful because you can program scripts), but it only works in Windows. I am looking for a substitute for AutoHotKey too.

Go to System Preferences-->Keyboard and Mouse-->Keyboard. Check the box that says use F1-F12 to control software features. That should do it.
