I noticed the A1398 span across many years from mid 2012 to 2015.
This is the macbook I have

I looked at parts across generations with the same A1398 and they are identical, same dimensions, same screw holes and same connector and amount of pins
Looking up parts I noticed that I end up in a group for A1398

These are the fans from the 2015 model

The images show the Delta fans that specs at 0,4A.. the fans with a shiny hub are the Nidec fans spec at 0.35A.
I would assume that the Delta fans are for the high end models and the Nidec for the medium spec.
This interests me because the newer models has more fins on the fans that amounts to larger amount of airflow and higher static pressure than the older KDB06105HC-HM00 used on mid2012 model.
I wonder if it would work to install these?
The only info I've found is this ad on aliexpress that states its not compatible with 2012 but only starting with 2013 model even if it has the same A1398 model number

You can replace the fan in it, but there are no upgrades to be done with out major noodling of the system.
Fan swap mod possible for A1398 mid2012?
