The laptop was supposed to be here on the 1st. It is now the 2nd and almost 5pm. I'm not sure how late FedEx delivers but I've never received a package past 6pm with them that I can remember.

Who should I contact about this? FedEx hasn't updated there website since the 27th when it was leaving CA to get to WI.

I hope it wasn't lost or stolen, but I really need to get it. What will Apple do? Can they just give me a new one for the refurbished price at one of there stores or something or what do I need to do?

Give FedEx a call, that doesn't sound right at all. And no, FedEx doesn't deliver after 5.

The only phone number I can find gives me some automated thing and I couldn't figure out how to talk to a person.

I called them and they found it. Not sure why the website was not updated and I've never had a package this late before. It will be out for shipment to me on Tuesday the 6th.

    A week late :S criminy

I might have to just return it to Apple and pick up a PC laptop. I have a conference I need it for the next day. I won't learn a new OS by that time :(

Under what circumstances can a laptop be returned if nothing is wrong with it?

What Mac laptop did you order? Macbook or a Macbook Pro? You can easily install boot camp on there and put windows on it in no time.

I agree that you will have enough time to make the adjustment if you want to.

However, if you really want to return it just refuse the delivery - that way it will go straight back to Apple and there will be no restocking fee because you didn't open it.

Ive found that Fedex's online tracking isn't updated as much as UPS's, however, if you cal FedEx they will give you real-time updates - unlike UPS.

I could do the bootcamp way I guess and still get the laptop that I want. I just have to come up with the 100 bucks for windows.

You CAN learn Mac OS X if you've even seen a mac before. It took me about 3 minutes, and I've never owned a mac. I've used macs before, but I never owned one. anyway good luck switching. I think you can kill the windows partition later if you want to.

You will be fine for your conference. OS X is not THAT hard to learn. I suspect the delay was probably caused by customs that is what happened to mine.

I ordered a macbook regular. I think I will be ok. I am still really excited about this computer and want to keep it and learn how it works.
