I have a 2.0ghz core 2 duo and 1 GB of ram. It seems to be a tad slower and is fully patched.

Also I can't get it to network with my girlfriend's Vista machine yet. I think I'll need a dummies book soon. :D

I didn't notice the difference between Leopard and Tiger when I upgraded. You sure that your computer isn't just indexing?

As Syrc said, if it is still the first day or two, it is probably still indexing, and that will effect performance. After that is done you should see a slight performance improvement over Tiger.

As for networking, make sure the workgroup is the same. I ended up using the Windows default.

indexing shouldnt take very long, even with a full drive.

if its indexing, the little "magnifying glass" in the upper right will have a dot in the middle.

i think its because you only have 1GB of ram.

My main area I see where it is slower is the dock at the bottom when it is enlarging the items, it is noticeably more jerky then the smooth tiger with this. Also minimizing and maximizing items from the dock menu is not as smooth.

So as everyone said give it some time to fully index. Also did you upgrade to Leopard or did you do a clean install? I have a friend of mine that had the same jerkiness problem when she upgraded, but after doing a clean install it was gone.

I have the same problem on my Macbook Pro. As do many other people. Maybe the problem will be solved by a new video driver in an upcoming Leopard update.

This is a clean install and I had everything else erased. I'm not sure what was the best format to format the drive with. I used the first option as I wasn't sure what the difference was.
